Retrosplenial Syndrome

Damage near the retrosplenial cortex fractures environment-referenced navigation while egocentric reflexes may remain. The patient loses the allocentric frame that made paths answerable to a world-map. The specimen demonstrates priced spatial governance: witness of heading and place, compressed into a canon of routes. When the frame fails, action continues in fragments that no longer cohere as wayfinding.
